ABOUT
Cynthia Townshend-Lacock, Ph.D
Over the past 27 years, Cynthia Townshend-Lacock has helped people make healthy changes and improve the quality of their lives physically, emotionally and mindfully. Cynthia is a clinical psychologist, consultant and integrative health coach. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology from Yeshiva University in 1979 and has maintained a successful private practice in Madison and New Haven, Connecticut since that time.
Cynthia consults with physicians, health care providers, care givers and individuals regarding the emotional impact of health challenges. Her Integrative Health Coaching practice guides those facing medical decisions, treatments and recovery to develop a proactive plan for healing. She believes that every situation presents an opportunity for learning, growing and healing.
Cynthia trained at Mentor Coach™, a coach training program for mental health professionals and with Peggy Huddleston in her Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster Program™, as well as many mind/body training experiences. Guided imagery, meditation and relaxation are powerful tools to achieve hope, peace of mind and self-healing.
Integrative health coaching provides guidance, support and instruction in mind/body techniques to help with anxiety before surgery, chemotherapy and other medical procedures. These same techniques are also useful for more general concerns such as chronic pain, insomnia, headaches, high blood pressure or intestinal problems related to stress.
The Integrative Health Coach services are provided both virtually, via telephone and email, and in person locally.
